Blessed are the Unwanted

My latest blog at https://Citizen-v2pt1.us was inspired by a recently discovered quotation from the great satirist, Jon Stewart. Mr. Stewart had a talent for cutting to the quick on an issue. In this case, he is analyzing the way our present system of government functions and comes to the conclusion that the three branches of government are fully capable of maintaining themselves and that they neither need, nor particularly want, voters.

Is it any wonder so many Americans have simply tuned out. It’s pretty obvious that we have no meaningful role to play in our own governance. We just get in the way.

This is why the Citizen v2.1 movement needs to ignite and burn like a prairie fire across our land. The Citizenry must demand a broader role in the making of the national policies that affect their daily lives. Once we have reclaimed the sovereignty that was supposed to be ours, perhaps we can all feel needed and wanted again, as born-again American Citizens.
